So who really is Rosalie Gibbons?
My name is Rosalie Gibbons, I am from Silver Spring, Maryland. I have not ventured much outside of Maryland and I have lived there my whole life. I wanted to try something different and go to the University of South Carolina because I knew I needed a change of pace and something different. I knew the university was right for me when I visited and fell in love with the school. The whole campus and atmosphere was completely unique and that is why I liked it.
My major is Visual Communications, I was never really sure of what I wanted to do in college or major in until I talked to my high school guidance counselor. I knew I loved art and that was a passion of mine, I also took yearbook class in high school and loved it. So when talking to my counselor, she came up with the great idea of combining the two which would basically be a visual communications major. My career goals within that major would be to possibly work at a magazine and do page layouts or some type of graphic design for that magazine.
What I am hoping to get out of University 101 is the basic knowledge and understanding of how to handle a college workload. Also to further my understanding of my career goals and if they are right for me. I'm hoping University 101 will teach me what I need to learn in order to do well and succeed in college.
